Main Applications:
MOPA is primarily used for the synthesis of dyes, especially for the synthesis of Disperse Turquoise S-GL, also known as Disperse Blue 60#. MOPA can be utilized in the preparation of dispersions and emulsions for certain synthetic and natural resins and waxes. These resins and waxes find applications in areas such as flooring finishes, fabric finishes, water-based coatings, and similar applications. MOPA can be employed in the production of water-insensitive waxes. Additionally, the diluted solution of Setheramine MOPA has no unpleasant odor. In some cases, it can serve as an alternative to morpholine. MOPA is used in the synthesis of antistatic agents and surfactants. It is also a high-grade organic solvent.
Other Known Uses:
MOPA has a wide range of applications in various industrial sectors, including but not limited to the following: Chemical Synthesis: Used as an intermediate in organic synthesis, participating in various chemical reactions such as esterification, amination, and alkylation. Pharmaceutical Preparation: Used as an intermediate in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of drugs and bioactive molecules. Polymer Industry: Employed in the production of polymers, including polyesters, polyethers, and polyurethanes. Coating and Paint Manufacturing: Used as a neutralizer and modifier in coatings and paints. Metal Corrosion Control: Utilized in the preparation of rust inhibitors and corrosion inhibitors. Electronics Industry: Used as a cleaning agent and degreaser in the manufacturing of circuit boards. Chemical Analysis: Used as a reagent in acid-base neutralization reactions in chemical experiments.
