44PD is C14H24N2, commonly known as N,N-Diisopropyl-p-phenylenediamine, and is also often referred to as Antioxidant 44PD in Chinese.
Common Name: Antioxidant 44PD, N,N-Diisopropyl-p-phenylenediamine, Antioxidant 4720
Chemical Name: N,N'-Diisopropyl-p-phenylenediamine
Molecular Formula: C14H24N2
Molecular Weight: Approximately 220.36 g/mol
Appearance: Dark brown liquid
Typical Uses:
1.N,N-Diisopropyl-p-phenylenediamine is an excellent amine antioxidant with specific suitability for use as an additive in gasoline (especially high olefin content gasoline) produced by cracking or thermocracking. It effectively prevents the formation of gel from olefin oxidation, thus avoiding carbon deposits in combustion chambers, piston tops, cylinder heads, and other parts during the use of the oil. Compared with other amine antioxidants, this product has a lower dosage and better antioxidant effect, significantly reducing environmental pollution.
2.In the presence of air and water, N,N-Diisopropyl-p-phenylenediamine acts as a catalyst to convert thiols into disulfides. Since N,N-Diisopropyl-p-phenylenediamine is only a catalyst in this process and it is not soluble in alkali, it remains in gasoline even after subsequent alkali removal operations, with no impact on antioxidant efficiency.
3.Additionally, this product can be used as a general-purpose antioxidant for natural rubber and synthetic rubber.
